Score Samurai LLC ("Score Samurai," "we," "us") runs www.scoresamurai.com and offers one-on-one SAT tutoring. This page says what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
WHAT WE COLLECT
The Diagnostic form speaks to the student. It asks for your name, email, grade and school. It also asks for your test date, your recent and target scores, and your target colleges. It asks how you heard about us and lets you tell us about your prep.
If you name a Bluebook practice test, the form can also take the questions you missed. You can upload screenshots of the review screen too. We keep them in our Google Drive and use them only to write your Diagnostic.
The form also asks for a parent's name, email and phone number. That way a parent gets a copy of the Diagnostic and the weekly updates.
The quiz collects your answers and any email addresses you enter. When you book the optional call, we collect your name, your email and the answers you give when you schedule. During tutoring, we keep session notes on what was covered and how it went.
If you sign up for The Daily Strike, Kit keeps your email address to send it. You confirm from your inbox first, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
The Score Lab works in your browser and saves nothing there. If you ask for your scorecard by email, we keep your email and the scorecard. The scorecard holds your module counts, estimated range, ticked patterns, any college you picked and any PSAT check. A first name is optional.
If you ask us to send a parent a copy, we keep that address too. The parent gets one email and is not added to any list.
Like most websites, ours keeps basic server logs, such as your IP address and browser type.
We use Google Analytics to count visits. It also shows us which posts and ads bring people to the site. It sets cookies and sees things like your IP address and the pages you view. We never send it names, email addresses or phone numbers.
STUDENTS UNDER 18
Most of our students are under 18. A parent or guardian is the one who enrolls and pays. The Diagnostic form, the quiz and the Score Lab speak to the student, so a student may fill them in. The Score Lab is for students 13 and older. The Diagnostic form asks for a parent's details so a parent sees everything we send.
We collect only what we need to help with the SAT. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child under 13 has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
HOW WE USE IT
We use it to write the Diagnostic and the plan. We use it to schedule and teach sessions and to send weekly updates to parents. We also use it to send invoices and the emails you ask for, and to answer your questions. That is all we use it for.
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers we use to run the business. Each gets only what it needs:
- TutorBird for client records, scheduling and invoices
- Stripe for payments
- Zoom for sessions
- Calendly for booking the optional call
- Google Workspace for email, documents and calendars
- Kit for the Trap Map and Daily Strike emails
We also use Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic. It helps prepare Diagnostic briefs, session plans and progress updates from what you tell us. It is bound by the same service-provider role.
Each provider has its own privacy rules. Stripe handles card details, and we never store them. We may share information if the law requires it.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep client records as long as we need them to teach and to meet legal, tax and accounting rules. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, within those rules.
SECURITY
Only Sensei Jay, who teaches every session himself, can see client information. Our accounts use passwords and, where offered, two-step sign-in. No system is perfectly safe, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
YOUR CHOICES
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct or delete it. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time. To make any request, email senseijay@scoresamurai.com.

We will update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top when we do.
